Reconnect an expired Google connection

Google connections can expire or be revoked. This can happen when a user changes their Google password, revokes app access, or when Google requires a fresh authorization.

Google connections can expire or be revoked. This can happen when a user changes their Google password, revokes app access, or when Google requires a fresh authorization.

When this happens, Flowboost cannot refresh the connection until Google Ads is connected again.

Signs that a connection has expired

You may notice:

  • Labelizer cannot fetch account data.

  • Merchant Center or conversion action lists do not load.

  • An in-app message reads: "Google Ads connection has expired. Please reconnect your Google Ads account in the integrations settings."

  • A run fails because account access is no longer available.

When the connection expires or is revoked, Flowboost sends an email notification to the user who set up the connection. If that user cannot be reached, the email goes to the workspace owner instead.

Check connected accounts after reconnecting

After reconnecting, go to Settings > Workspace > Accounts.

Accounts that were set to inactive when the connection expired are not automatically reactivated after reconnect. You need to reactivate them manually using the active/inactive toggle in the account action menu.

This is different from accounts that are missing entirely. If an account is not in the list at all, add it again from the Add account button.

If reconnecting does not fix it

Check that:

  • You selected the correct workspace.

  • You used the Google user with access to the right Google Ads accounts.

  • Your Google Ads account access is still active.

  • You can open the account directly in Google Ads.

  • Your browser is not blocking the Google authorization popup.
