This script helps you find valuable search queries in your Google Ads account and turn them into keywords without manual work. It checks recent search term data in your enabled campaigns and ad groups and suggests only the queries that meet your performance criteria.
You choose the lookback period, for example the last 30 days. Within that period, the script reviews all search queries and filters them based on your own thresholds. You can use metrics like impressions, clicks, conversions, CTR, cost, and CPA. Only queries that meet all your thresholds are considered, so you keep control over quality.
The script then checks if these search queries are already present as keywords. If they are not, it adds them as new keywords in the same ad group. You can choose which match types to use, such as exact and phrase. This makes it easy to grow your keyword coverage based on real user searches, not guesswork.
After the run, the script sends you an email recap. The email groups everything by ad group and shows which search terms were added and in which match types. This gives you a clear overview of what changed, so you can quickly review and adjust if needed.
To make follow up easier, the script adds two labels to every new keyword. One label contains the current date. The other is a custom label name that you define. With these labels you can filter in Google Ads to review only the keywords created by this script on a specific day or across multiple runs.
This script is especially useful for account managers who want to improve keyword management and performance, while spending less time in the search terms report. Many users like to run it weekly, then review the recap email and labeled keywords to keep everything clean and efficient.
